# Your simple OBS setup (3 screens)

OBS is free. It is the program on your computer that shows your camera and sends it to Restream. Restream then sends it to YouTube and Facebook at the same time.

## One time only (we do this together on Zoom)
1. Install OBS Studio from **obsproject.com**. When it asks, choose "Optimize for streaming".
2. Put the 3 pictures from this folder somewhere you will not delete them (for example Documents > Stream).
3. Make 3 scenes. In the **Scenes** box (bottom left) click **+** for each one:

| Scene | What goes in it (Sources box, click +) |
|---|---|
| **Starting soon** | Image > `cross-starting-soon-a.png`. Then Text > "Service starts soon" |
| **Live** | Video Capture Device > your camera. Then Image > `cross-corner.png`, then drag it small into a corner |
| **Be right back** | Image > `cross-be-right-back.png`. Then Text > "We'll be right back" |

4. **Settings > Stream**: Service = **Restream.io**, click **Connect Account**, sign in to your Restream. Click OK.
5. Microphone: in the **Audio Mixer** box, speak and check the green bar moves.

## Every Sunday
1. Open OBS. Click **Starting soon**.
2. Click **Start Streaming** (bottom right). You are now live on YouTube and Facebook.
3. When you are ready to preach, click **Live**.
4. Need a break? Click **Be right back**.
5. When finished, click **Stop Streaming**. YouTube keeps the recording.

Only your scene changes. Nothing else needs touching.
